Oshawa.Marketing exists for one kind of client: a Durham contractor who is good at the work and wants more of the right jobs without guessing at marketing. We plan the strategy, run the channels that fit, and report in plain numbers. We don't do the trade work, and we never pretend to.

The company behind the site

Oshawa.Marketing belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group whose head office is in Vancouver, British Columbia. Durham is one of many regions where its brands work with owners.

  • Sedighi.ca, Ali's own consulting company, works across growth, marketing and technology. Trades.Agency, the trades brand this site is built on, sits under it, alongside HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
  • SAZ.ca (the name stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone) handles strategy, AI and revenue-acceleration consulting in Canada. Ali started it and remains its Founder & Managing Partner.

This site follows the Trades.Agency approach and pricing, applied to the specific geography and buyers of Durham Region. The pricing page has the details.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads Oshawa.Marketing. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management, and his digital marketing career runs more than 17 years, back to 2007, the year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. Today he lives and works in Vancouver.

He has built more than 150 live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and Roma Heating & Cooling. Beyond this group's trades work, he started Conv.ca, an agency focused on conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. Over the years his clients have been based in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

That HVAC background matters for Durham contractors for a practical reason: heating and cooling is one of the most competitive local service categories, with emergency demand, seasonal peaks and expensive clicks. The methods that work there, such as town-level pages, disciplined ad budgets and steady reviews, transfer well to roofing, plumbing, electrical, renovation and landscaping. You can read the published case studies on our results page, presented as results from our HVAC work.

How we work

We work in a way that a busy contractor can follow without needing to become a marketer.

  1. Numbers first. Before recommending anything, we ask for your average job value, margin and win rate. Those set the maximum you should pay for a lead.
  2. Geography second. We decide which Durham municipalities to focus on based on your base, crew capacity and job history. The areas page shows how we think about each one.
  3. Few channels, done well. Usually two or three from our services, not ten.
  4. Plain reporting. Calls, texts, emails and booked jobs, by town and service, every month.
  5. Your accounts, your assets. Your Google Business Profile, ad accounts, website and domain stay in your name.

Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel. If something isn't working, you'll hear it from us first, along with what we plan to change.

What we are not

Put simply, we sell marketing and business advice to contractors in Durham. We are not a contractor ourselves. We don't install furnaces, repair roofs, pull permits or quote on jobs, and we won't present ourselves to your customers as if we did.

We also don't give regulatory or legal advice. When a question touches licensing or safety, we point you to the organisation responsible, such as TSSA, ESA, WSIB or Skilled Trades Ontario, and let them answer it.

What a first month with us looks like

The opening month is mostly listening and fixing. We collect your job history, check every account you already have, and correct the obvious problems: wrong categories on your Google profile, ads running outside Durham, a website with no text button. By the end of it you should be able to say which three or four towns we are working on and why.

Why Durham, from Vancouver

It's a fair question. The honest answer is that contractor marketing happens in search engines, ad platforms and websites, and those can be studied and managed from anywhere, as long as the person doing it checks what a homeowner in Ajax or Port Perry actually sees. We do that for every town in a client's plan.

What we won't do is invent a local office or pretend to be your neighbour. Our contact page explains exactly how to reach us and what happens after you do.
